Cobourg’s Mason Flesch made his Major League Rugby debut for the Toronto Arrows on Saturday.

Five tries paced the Arrows to a decisive 52-7 victory over the Seattle Seawolves in Marietta, Georgia where the Toronto club is currently based this season.

The 21-year-old Flesch was slotted in at lock in the second row.

As noted in a recent story, Flesch began playing rugby at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School in Cobourg, winning an OFSAA championship with the Thunder in 2018.

Win the win over Seattle (1-3-0), the Arrows improved to 2-3-0. Their next game is this Sunday, April 25 at Rugby United New York. Game time is 2 p.m. and will air on TSN2.
