Northumberland OPP – Investigating Fatal UTV Collision

On April 10th 2021, at 08:04am, members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the scene of a fatal collision involving a single Utility Terrain Vehicle (side-by-side), that occurred on an unmaintained road in the Bowmanton Rd and Morris Rd area in Alnwick Haldimand Township.

A person who was missing the previous night, found the scene of the collision on Saturday morning.

George MIKARIC (age 51) of Harwood Ontario was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A post mortem examination will be conducted on Monday, April 12th 2021 at the Ontario Coroner’s Office in Kingston.

OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) members are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision. If you witnessed the event, or have any information, you are encouraged to contact the Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
