Quinte West OPP – Person Charged with Drug Trafficking

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking.


On April 7, 2021, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the Quinte West OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) arrested an individual on Marmora Street in Trenton, after observing multiple suspected drug transactions.

Officers seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, clonazepam pills and Canadian currency from the individual. An additional search was conducted of a motel room and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was seized.


Gavin GALBRAITH, 24 years old of Quinte West has been charged with failing to comply with a probation order, possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.


The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 13, 2021.
