There were no injures after a transport truck rolled into the ditch on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 on Highway 401 just east of Colborne.

At approximately 3 p.m. emergency services responded to the area just east of County Road 25 (Percy Street overpass) for a transport truck in the ditch.

The driver told Today’s Northumberland that he was pulling over to the shoulder and believes he may have not engaged the brake and the cab of the truck rolled into the ditch.

There were no injures as a result of the incident but part of the on-ramp to Highway 401 was closed for a considerable length of time as a tow company removed the big rig.
