Port Hope Police – Domestic Assault

After a 41 year old man refused to leave his ex common law partner’s residence the victim called the Port Hope Police Service. The couple had been arguing over a discipline issue. During the verbal confrontation the accused pushed the victim and hit her hand hard enough that her cell phone flew across the room. Their young child was present during the assault.


On February 27th, 2021 the male party was charged and released on a undertaking with conditions to remain away from the victim. The accused will appear in court on March 24th, 2021 . The names are not being released in order to protect the victim.
