Quinte West OPP – Investigate Snowmobile Collision

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a snowmobile collision that left one person injured.

On Sunday, February 7, 2021, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Quinte West OPP were dispatched to a single vehicle snowmobile collision on the Bay of Quinte, near Roseland Drive, in Quinte West.

On arrival, one male was being treated by Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services, Station Two and Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services. The snowmobile operator was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is still continuing. Any person with information regarding the incident should contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.

The OPP encourages snowmobilers to adhere to OFSC Prescribed trails, as this an excellent trail system that offers the safest areas to ride on.
