A change has been made to this year’s Cobourg Civic Awards, with the deadline to make submissions now set for March 1.

Mayor John Henderson made the announcement at this week’s council meeting, adding that the virtual gala presentation ceremony is planned for April 23 at 7 p.m.

“I wish to encourage members of our community to nominate someone,” Henderson said.

“As you know, we have tremendous volunteers within our community, and I can’t think of a better year for you to nominate someone in one of these many, many categories.”

The different awards, along with their criteria, are listed on the town website, along with instructions for submitting a nomination.
