Update – Peterborough County OPP – Fatal Motorcycle Collision

The deceased driver of the motorcycle has been identified as John THOMAS (age 54) of Scarborough, Ontario.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews attended a collision which occurred at approximately 11:00am on October 10, 2020 on County Road 507 at Mississauga Dam Road.

A motorcycle was travelling northbound on County Road 507 when a collision occurred with a southbound vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation and the identification of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin are notified.
