Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews are currently on scene at a collision which occurred at approximately 11:00am on County Road 507 at Mississauga Dam Road.
A motorcycle was travelling northbound on County Road 507 when a collision occurred with a southbound vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation and the identification of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin are notified.
County Road 507 remains closed between Mississauga Dam Road and Ossie Traynor Road while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene. The County Road 507 closure will remain in place for several hours while police investigate.
