Transport Slides Into Ditch in Port Hope

In Police Blotter

A trailer filled with paper slid into the ditch in Port Hope on Wednesday, October 8, 2020.

At approximately 10 p.m. a transport truck parked on the side of the road on Telephone Road by the Comfort Inn just east of County Road 28.

The cabs were going to be switched out, so the driver attempted to unhook the trailer, but it slid into the ditch coming to rest on its side.

There were no injuries, but Telephone Road in the area was shut down for several hours as tow trucks emptied the trailer and lifted it out of the ditch.
