Cobourg Police – Fraud Under $5,000/Forged Documents

In May 2020, a complainant reported having items stolen from her vehicle and shortly after, forged cheques were being deposited. Police commenced an investigation.
As a result of the investigation, on September 13th, 2020, 36-year-old Christopher Bodmore was arrested and charged with the following offences:
1) Fraud under $5000 sec 380(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada x 2

2) Possession of property obtained by Crime sec 354(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada x 2

3) Use, trafficking, or possession of forged document sec 368(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada x 2

Bordmore was released on a promise to appear with a future court date.
