Cobourg Police – Investigation Results in Harassing Communications Arrest

On August 5th, Cobourg police received a call from a Cobourg organization advising that a man continued to call, harassing workers, despite being on current release conditions not to call.

As a result of a police investigation, 32-year-old Gregory VORSTEVELD of Cobourg was arrested and charged
with:

1. Harassing Communications Contrary to Section 372(3) of the Criminal Code

2. Fail to Comply with Undertaking Contrary to Section 145(4)(a) of the Criminal Code

3. Fail to Comply with Probation Order Contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code

VORSTEVELD was subsequently held in police custody for a bail hearing.
