Quinte West OPP – Voyeurism Charge in Quinte West

On Monday July 27, 2020, at approximately 11:30 p.m. members of the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the area of Young’s Cove and County Road 64 in Carrying Place for the report of an indecent act. OPP Emergency Response Team and East Region Canine attended the scene.

Further investigation led to the arrest of one person at their residence on July 28, 2020 at 2:30 a.m.

Darren BABINEAU, 44 years old, of Carrying Place has been charged with the following offences:

Trespassing at Night

Criminal Harassment – beset and watch complainant

Voyeurism

The accused was held in custody and appeared by video at the Ontario Court of Justice on Tuesday July 28, 2020.
