Durham Regional Police – Bobcat Machine Stolen from Dealership

In Police Blotter

Investigators are trying to identify the suspects involved in the theft of an expensive piece of construction equipment from a dealership in Clarington.

On Sunday, July 19, 2020 at approximately 5:30 a.m. several suspects broke into the Bobcat of Durham East dealership on Cigas Road in Clarington. Security cameras showed two males walking around the lot before one got into a used 2018 Bobcat T650 skid-steer loader and drove it through the locked metal fence gates. The Bobcat, with pallet forks on the front, was seen driving west on Cigas Road and then south on Trulls Road.

Security cameras in this industrial area of Clarington identified two vehicles of interest in this investigation: a dark-coloured Dodge Ram with a dark cap; and a newer white Nissan Rogue.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects or the location of these vehicles is asked to contact D/Cst. Dan Bycok of the East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1605.
Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
