Motorcycle Collisions in Cobourg and Colborne

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a collision in Cobourg on Friday, June 19, 2020.

At approximately 6:20 p.m. a pickup truck heading southbound on William Street attempted a U-turn to go northbound on William Street at the Heath Street intersection.

A motorcycle that was following the pickup truck collided with the back end of the pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck wasn’t injured, but the driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

No word on any charges.

A second collision happened around midnight in Colborne where a off-road dirt bike struck a log. The driver suffered head and shoulder injuries and wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Family were bringing the victim to hospital when it appear the condition became worse around Grafton and emergency services were called.

The driver was taken to hospital and was later released suffering serious but non-life threatening injuries.
