Loaded Gun, Drugs and Cash Seized by Port Hope Police

The Port Hope Police Service Criminal Investigations Bureau is involved in an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity affecting our community.

On Wednesday the 17 th June 2020 as part of this ongoing investigation members of the Criminal Investigations Bureau with the assistance of Uniform Officers arrested and charged two persons for trafficking and possession of illegal drugs including cocaine, purple and blue fentanyl. Also seized was a loaded hand gun. Police further seized $4750.00 and a 2013 BMW 328x as proceeds of crime being offences related property. The street value of the illicit drugs was approximately $9000.00.

Eric Bremner 44 yrs. of Cobourg is charged with 1 count of possession of controlled substance cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, I count of possession of a controlled substance fentanyl, 1 count of possession of proceeds of crime and 1 count of breaching his probation.

Marlon Grandison 29 yrs of Pickering is charged with 3 counts of possession of controlled substance fentanyl and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, 8 counts of weapons related charges including possession of a loaded firearm, 1 count of possession of proceeds of crime and 2 counts of failing to comply with Recognizance.

Both males were held in custody for a show cause hearing on the 18th June 2020.
