Hiring Begins for Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre

Community Care Northumberland (CCN) has begun the recruitment process for clinical and support staff at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.

Led by CCN, the new facility located in Hamilton township will provide residential care, along with a new home for our current community hospice staff providing services such as; grief and bereavement support, education, caregiver support and health system navigation to hospice clients, their families and their caregivers. Ed’s House is expected to welcome its first residents this fall.

CCN is currently recruiting for the following positions:

· Registered Nurses

· Registered Practical Nurses

· Personal Support Workers

· Building Maintenance Custodian

· Food Services Coordinator

“Since it was first announced that a new hospice centre with residence suites would be opening in Cobourg we have had individuals inquiring about working here and available positions,” says Trish Baird, Chief Executive Officer of Community Care Northumberland.

“We have received significant support for, and interest in, this project from the community and we are optimistic we will be able to select qualified, compassionate staff adding to our current hospice services team, all contributing to a comfortable experience for both hospice residents and their families.”

All interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for the positions available.

The deadline to apply for the Building Maintenance Custodian is June 12th, 2020 and the deadline for applications for Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Personal Support Workers and Food Service Coordinator is June 30th, 2020.
