Cobourg Police – Shoplift Incident Results in Charges

On the 23rd of May 2020, Police responded to a North end business for a shoplift in progress. Police located the male party exiting the business after ripping off and hiding several price tags in an attempt to steal the items from which the tags were removed.

As a result of the incident and arrest,

52-year-old Robert MORRISON of Collingwood is charged with:

· Theft Under $5000 Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code

· Mischief Under $5000 Section 430(4) of the Criminal Code

· Fail to Comply with Probation Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code

MORRISON subsequently held for bail.
