Cobourg Legion Minor Softball Organization announced Monday evening it will not operate this summer.

“After careful consideration and discussion with our affiliates, the executive of Cobourg Legion Minor Softball has decided that they will not be offering any house league or rep programs for the 2020 summer due to Covid-19,” stated a post to CLMSO’s Facebook page.

“This has been a very difficult decision. We look forward to adjusting our programs in the future to meet the new health and safety needs of our players. Anyone who has pre-registered will be contacted and a refund will be processed.”

Meanwhile, Softball Ontario has suspended all activities until at least June 2 while the Eastern Canadian Softball Committee has cancelled all of its 2020 championships and Softball Canada has now cancelled this year’s Canadian Fast Pitch and Slo-Pitch Championships as well.
