Cobourg Police – Breach Recognizance and CDSA Charges

On Friday May 15th 2020 Police were on general patrol and observed the accused, Ryan CONROY a 38-year-old-male from the Town of Cobourg breaching his recognizance of bail by attending an address he was on conditions not to attend.

Search incident to arrest Police located 12.5 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine.

The accused was charged with the following offences:

1. Fail to Comply with Recognizance – Contrary to Section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

2. Possession of a Controlled Substance in Schedule I to with Crystal Methamphetamine – Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
