Dodge Rams Through Concrete Wall In Cobourg

The driver of a pickup truck that drove through a concrete barrier and became airborne walked away with minor injuries in Cobourg on Monday, March 16, 2020.

Emergency services were called to the east end of Sutherland Crescent at approximately 1:10 p.m.

A 2019 Dodge Ram pickup was travelling eastbound at a high rate of speed went up an embankment and through a concrete wall becoming airborne and landing near a set of railway tracks.

Concrete debris and rebar was thrown approximately 30 metres from the impact.

A large piece of concrete and rebar went through the driver’s side windshield.

Emergency workers at the scene said it was incredible the driver wasn’t seriously injured.

The driver got out of the vehicle with no apparent injuries and walked to the ambulance where he was taken to hospital.

The area is a place were children regularly play, but no one else was injured in the collision.

No word on charges.
