Cobourg Police Service Announces Extra Visibility in Downtown Area

In Police Blotter

The Cobourg Police Service strives to ensure that our approach to policing and the services we provide, reflect the community’s needs.

The Cobourg Police Service will be conducting a new initiative in the Downtown area of the Town of Cobourg. The Town of Cobourg is a vibrant, inclusive and safe community. Our community is the heart of what we do. The Cobourg Police Service is committed to ensuring our community and citizens feel and are safe.

Members of the Cobourg Police Service including Officers, Auxiliary Officers, Special Constables and Volunteers will be present throughout the Downtown core on foot for extra visibility. The Cobourg Police Service encourages every resident to call in any suspicious or dangerous activity.

Cobourg Chief of Police Paul VandeGraaf says “The Cobourg Police Service is listening. We are a part of this great community and your voices are being heard. Our Auxiliary Members have been meeting with business owners downtown on the CCTV project, and the feedback has been excellent. Please continue to reach out to us regarding any of your concerns. Together we can meet any challenges.”

When you encounter any of our Members on patrol, please let them know any concerns that you have. Our Members are part of our integrated strategy for Community Safety and your input is important to us.

Please feel free to call the Cobourg Police Service at 905-372-6821 to report any concerns or reach out through social media.
