Northumberland OPP – Body Found in Trent-Severn Waterway

On January 29, 2020 at 09:00 am, members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to information that a body of an unidentified male had been discovered in the Trent-Severn Waterway at the Ontario Power Generation station located at Hagues Reach – Lock 10.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit are currently investigating the incident with the assistance of the Central Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS).

The Coroner attended the scene and the body is being sent to Kingston where a post mortem examination will be conducted.
The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released when it becomes available.
