Year end means statistics, and Councillor Aaron Burchat shared numbers from Cobourg’s building department at Monday’s council meeting.
Burchat actually presented statistics for the month of December as well as for 2019.

In December, nine building permits were issued (three of which were for new dwelling units), representing a construction value of more than $320,000.

Over 2019, 504 building permits were issued (99 of which were dwelling units), representing a construction value of more than $32-million – and bringing in revenues of more than $428,000.

“I look forward to seeing what 2020 brings for building, police, fire and bylaws. I know it’s going to be another busy year,” Burchat said.
