Update – Cobourg Police – Two People Arrested for Drug Related Offences After Routine Stop

On the 26th of December 2019 the Cobourg Police attended a parking area on King St W for a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle.

On arrival, a male and female were located inside a running vehicle.

After further investigation, police located a quantity of suspected fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and oxycodone.

29 year old Matthew CAISSIE of Oshawa was charged with:

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a substance in Schedule I contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act and

• Having Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor contrary to Section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act.

31 year old Tammy MARLOW of Cobourg was charged with:

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Substance in Schedule I contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act,

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act x 2,

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Contrary to Section 355 of the Criminal Code of Canada and

• Having Liquor in Open Container in Other than Licensed Premise, Residence or Private Place contrary to Section 31(2) of the Liquor Licence Act.
