Cobourg Police – Impaired Arrest

On November 30th, 2019 at 0320 am police observed a motor vehicle travelling northbound on Division Street in the Town of Cobourg at a high rate of speed.

Police stopped the vehicle in question on Division Street. Police administered a roadside screening test and the driver registered a fail.

As a result, Shaun McLoughlin 24 years of age of Baltimore was arrested for Impaired Operation -blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

McLoughlin was transported to the station where he provided two breath samples which were 120 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood and 110 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.

Police charged McLoughlin with Impaired Operation -blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
