Cobourg is Concerned About Vaping

In City Hall

By Cecilia Nasmith/Today’s Northumberland
The alleged hazards of vaping are on Cobourg’s radar, Mayor John Henderson assured council Monday.

Henderson said that the board of health is requesting some restrictions on the sales of vaping supplies, and he will be issuing a more detailed report. The nature of these restrictions is modelled on those that have been promoted in British Columbia.

The request is also being forwarded to ministers of health at both Federal and provincial levels, he added – The Honourable Patty Hajdu on Parliament Hill and The Honourable Christine Elliott at Queen’s Park.

“We feel these restrictions really have to be taken seriously for our youth under the age of 21,” the mayor said.
