Turland’s Bail Hearing Put Over Until Next Week In Cobourg Court

In Police Blotter

A woman who was arrested an hour after being released from custody had her charges put over until next week at Cobourg Court on Thursday, November 14, 2019.

Today’s Northumberland learned that 32-year-old Lindsay Turland was re-arrested approximately one hour after being released from custody on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.

Turland was originally arrested on Tuesday after she breached her recognizance by failing to sign in to the Cobourg Police Station.

In bail court on Wednesday, Today’s Northumberland has learned that Turland had the charge dropped after stating to the court she didn’t sign in at the police station because she had a migraine.

After being released, she was arrested on Second Street and charged with breach of recognizance and mischief (in relation to parking meters).

In bail court on Thursday, the Assistant Crown Attorney stated to the court she would consent to her release if she had a sufficient surety.

No one was in court to act as a surety for Turland and the matter was put over until Monday, November 18, 2019 for video.
