Breaking News – Transport Rolls Down Embankment Highway 401 At Brighton

In Police Blotter

Emergency services responded to a tractor trailer rollover on the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Brighton on Friday, October 11, 2019.

Crews responded at approximately 4:13 a.m. to the tractor trailer that rolled over on its side in the ditch just past the eastbound off-ramp at Brighton and the County Road 30 overpass.

For unknown reason at this time, the driver drove off the highway, hit the guardrail and rolled on its side down a embankment that separates the off and on-ramps of the eastbound lanes of the highway at Brighton.

The driver was taken to hospital with possible serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

At the present time the transport, which was carrying paper products remains in the ditch until authorities determine the best time to remove it with due to the holiday weekend.

At this time, all eastbound lanes remain open.

The driver is charged with careless driving.
