Durham Police – Taxi Driver Charged With Sexually Assaulting A Female in Wheelchair

A taxi driver has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a wheelchair who he had driven in his cab.

On Sunday, July 14, 2019, at approximately 8:20 p.m., a taxi driver operating a wheelchair-accessible vehicle picked up a fare in Ajax and was requested to drop off the female in Oshawa. When they arrived at the destination, the accused went into the rear of the cab and he inappropriately touched the female.

Investigators arrested the suspect on August 1 and wish to ensure there were no other victims.

Syedbagher MOOSAVI, age 40 of Terraview Blvd in Scarborough, is charged with Sexual Assault. He was released on a Promise to Appear.
