Durham Police – Firearm and Drugs Seized In Oshawa

Two people are facing charges after a drug investigation resulted in the seizure of a firearm and drugs.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, members of the Gun and Gang Unit, arrested two suspects and recovered a quantity of cocaine and fentanyl. With the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Unit, four search warrants were executed at several residences in Oshawa as part of this investigation. The search warrants resulted in the seizure of a loaded firearm, fentanyl, cocaine, heroin and Canadian currency. The approximate value of the items seized were $42,000.

Jahaile CHARLES, age 22, of Fetchinson Drive in Oshawa and Shiloh CHEREBIN, age 20, of Hillpark Trail in Brampton face 18 combined drugs and firearm-related charges including: Careless Storage of Firearm; Store Firearm Contrary to Regulations; Possess Loaded Firearm No License; Possess Loaded Firearm and Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking x3 (fentanyl, cocaine, heroin). They were held for a bail hearing.
