Peterborough County OPP – Investigating Fatal ATV Collision in Trent Lakes

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to assist after an ATV collision occurred in the Municipality of Trent Lakes this afternoon at approximately 4:30pm. The collision occurred on private property near County Road 36 between County Road 507 and Bobcaygeon. No road closures are required.

Quang DANH (age 58) from Etobicoke, Ontario has died as a result of his injuries suffered in the collision. He was not using proper safety equipment at the time of the collision.

The deceased has been transported to The Provincial Forensic Pathology Unit at the Forensic Services and Coroners Complex in Toronto for a post mortem examination.

OPP members trained in collision reconstruction are attending to measure and document the scene.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
