Annual Fish Lift Postponed For One Week In Cobourg

In Upcoming Events

Organizers have said the annual rainbow trout fish lift in Cobourg will have to wait another week.
The lift which takes place along Cobourg Creek at The Mill Restaurant was scheduled for this coming Saturday, but due to high water, organizers have decided to postpone the event until April 19, 2019.
Volunteers are to arrive at 8:30 a.m. for the lift just north of Elgin and Ontario Streets in Cobourg.
The annual lift has been taking place for over 40 years by volunteers hoisting rainbow trout up and over the dam at Cobourg Creek.
Anyone 12-years-old and older are welcome to participate in the event.
