Durham Police – Three Arrested for Trafficking a 15-Year-Old Female

Two males and one female are facing charges after a 15-year-old girl was forced to perform sexual acts.
On February 7, 2019, a 15-year-old female got into a fight with her family and called an acquaintance to come pick her up and take her to the home of another acquaintance. While there, the victim was forced to take drugs and perform sexual acts. After some time, the victim was able to contact a friend who picked her up. Police were called to investigate.
Members of the Human Trafficking Unit were called and began an investigation. On February 28, 2019, a search warrant was executed at a home in the Courtice Road and Highway 2 area of Clarington and three people were arrested. A quantity of drugs was found during the search.
Andrew THORNE, age 20 of Bowmanville, Jaiden LUNAU, age 20 of Clarington, and Tylor LUNAU, age 25 of Clarington, have all been charged with: Trafficking in Person Under 18 by Recruiting; Procuring Person Under 18 Years; Material Benefits from Sexual Services Under 18; Permit Person Under 18 on Premises for Sexual Act and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2 (cocaine and benzodiazepines).
