Ganaraska’s Nature Nuts March Break Camp Returns

In Upcoming Events

Children ages 6 – 11 are invited to spend an adventure-filled week with the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority’s (GRCA) Nature Nuts camp staff.
Nature Nuts March Break Camp will feature a different dedicated theme each day. Starting on Monday, campers will learn the skills needed to survive in the Ontario wilderness; campers will be split into teams to compete in a variety of reality TV show games and challenges on Tuesday; Wednesday will be all about designing, constructing and testing various structures; get ready to participate in a variety of fun and messy science experiments on Thursday; then on Trip Day Friday, campers will be off to the Ganaraska Forest Centre for a day of exploring the Ganaraska Forest through a variety of fun games and activities.
“This is the camp for all children, whether they already love spending time in nature or simply want to be more comfortable in the natural world,” says Ryan Goodall, one of the program’s teachers. “We know that children who spend time in nature, gain an appreciation for our planet and become the environmental stewards of tomorrow,” he adds.
The cost to participate in this fun-filled week is only $170.00. The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority administrative office on Hwy 28 in Port Hope is camp headquarters. Each day of camp runs from 8:45 am – 4:15 pm; extended care is available upon request.
Call the GRCA at 905.885.8173, or visit grca.on.ca or ganaraskaforestcentre.ca for more information or to register.
