Durham Police – Male Armed with a Knife Arrested at GO Station

A 41-year old male was arrested after he was seen wielding a knife at the Ajax GO station over the weekend.
On Saturday, January 12, 2019, at approximately 4:25 p.m., officers were dispatched after a man was seen armed with a box-cutter knife on a platform at the Ajax GO station. He was aggressively approaching citizens, trying to engage them in a fight. He waved the knife in a threatening manner and tried to forcefully open the door of a stairwell, where citizens had fled and were holding the door to keep him from entering.
When officers arrived, they found him pacing in the bus loop area. As officers approached him, he became aggressive. A conductive energy weapon was deployed and the male was arrested.
Paul LEFEBVRE, age 41 of Pittmann Crescent in Ajax, has been charged with: Carry Concealed Weapon; Possession Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace; Fail to Comply with OIC Under Taking and Assault with Weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.
