Northumberland OPP – Single Motor Vehicle Collision Results in Impaired Charges

On Saturday December 22, 2018 at approximately 7:00 pm members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a report of single vehicle collision on County Road 8 and Bradley Bay Road in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

Officers located the blue passenger van that had rolled over and was off the roadway. The driver was found to be uninjured and under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation 35-year-old William Charles OXLEY, of Georgina, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

· Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
· Dangerous Operation
· Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration – 80 plus

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on January 23, 2019.
