Northumberland OPP – Male Charged with Fraud Related Offences

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – On Tuesday November 6, 2018 members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into a fraud investigation after two pharmacies reported receiving a fraudulent prescription request for an undisclosed amount of Oxycodone.

A male party dropped off a prescription for Oxycodone at two different pharmacy locations within the County; he planned to pick up the prescriptions the following day. On Wednesday November 7, 2018 the Peterborough/Northumberland OPP Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) with the assistance of front line members of the Northumberland OPP, arrested and charged 31 year old Joshua BRADBURY from Pickering, Ontario with two counts of Cause or attempt to use a forged document.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on December 19, 2018.
