Off-Duty DRPS Officer Charged with Sexual Assault

An off-duty DRPS officer has been charged with a criminal offence.

Members of the DRPS Professional Standards Unit (PSU) commenced an investigation in August 2018 when an allegation by an adult female was brought forward regarding the conduct of an off-duty officer.

As a result of the investigation, Jack STELWAGEN, 40 years old, has been charged with Sexual Assault. He was released on a Promise to Appear before an O.I.C.

A Constable currently assigned to West Division, he has been suspended from duty. STELWAGEN has been an officer with DRPS since 2007.

Anyone with new information about this investigation is asked to call Sgt. Hollister ext. 4361 or Sgt. Walker ext. 4366 of the Professional Standards Unit at 1-888-579-1520.
