Cobourg Police – Fraud Under $5,000

At 3:10 pm, on Tuesday the 10th of July, 2018, Officers of the Cobourg Police Service responded to a shoplifting call at a North end business in the Town of Cobourg.
A Loss Prevention Officer had arrested a male suspect for Fraud after observing the suspect select an item from within the store, remove the packaging and attempt to return it.
As a result of further police investigation the suspect was identified as:
Adam HALLIDAY, 21 years of age of No Fixed Address

He was subsequently charged with the following offences:
Fraud Under $5000 contrary to Section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code and:
Breach of Probation contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code
HALLIDAY was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing at 860 William Street, Cobourg on Wednesday July 11th, 2018.
