Port Hope & District Historical Society Giant Annual yard Sale This Weekend

In Charity

Port Hope & District Historical Society is a Canadian charity, registered with Revenue Canada, and was established on January 1, 1969 (#131903056RR0001).

Our Vision is to keep alive and bring to life, for young and old, and to preserve for generations to come, the history and heritage of our region through meetings, lectures, displays, presentations and other functions. We also maintain and operate Dorothy’s House Museum as a display case of a workman’s family and life-style in the mid 19th century.

Besides hundreds of volunteer hours donated by our Board members, friends and supporters, we hold a GIANT annual yard sale on the front lawn of Dorothy’s House each year to help cover our expenditures. This past year, we replaced the shingles on the roof of Dorothy’s House museum, and are now raising funds to finish covering this cost and to replenish monies spent on this important restoration work.

This yard sale will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 22, 23 & 24, 2018, from 8 am to 3 pm at Dorothy’s House Museum, 3632 Ganaraska Road (Hwy. 9), Garden Hill, Ontario.
