Youth Arrested for Sexual Assault
The Cobourg Police commenced an investigation into an allegation of a sexual assault. It is alleged that the accused sexually assaulted the victim during May of this year.
As a result of the subsequent Police investigation, a Youth was charged with Sexual Assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with conditions from the Cobourg Police Station. The identity of the accused cannot be released according to provisions of the Youth Criminal justice Act.
