Cobourg Police – Male Arrested for Theft and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00

On the 30th of April 2018 at approximately 10:45 pm ,Cobourg Police received a call from night staff at a local business for a report of a shoplifter. Police were advised a lone male entered the store and removed some items. The male was confronted by store staff and fled the area. Police observed a male matching the description given and arrested the male a short time later in behind another area business.

Police arrested Port Hope resident Joel Bemma age 35 for Theft and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000.00

Joel Bemma was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of June6th 2018.
