Two Arrested For Drug Related Offences

(ALNWICK-HALDIMAND TWP, ON) – On March 16, 2018 at approximately 2:00 a.m. an officer with the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a white Nissan Sentra for an equipment violation on Highway 401 near Grafton.

The officer observed evidence of illegal drugs in the car resulting in bot h occupants being arrested. The subsequent investigation resulted in several cell phones, suspected cocaine and a large quantity of cash being seized. The car was towed from the highway and both persons were taken to the Brighton Detachment for further investigation.

Orane WEST age 35 of London, Ontario is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine (two counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Two Highway Traffic Act offences
  • WEST was held for a bail hearing later that day resulting in him remaining in custody with a subsequent bail hearing date schedul ed at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on March 19, 2018.
  • Maghan Ann FALLOWFIELD age 20 of Cobourg, Ontario is charged with:
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine (two counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking
  • FALLOWFIELD was held for a bail hearing later that day. She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on March 21, 2018.
