Wayne Symons Auto Sales Helps Out Fare Share Food Bank

In Charity, Community

Wayne Symons Auto Sales in Cobourg helped out Fare Share Food Bank on Thursday and Friday.

Staff at Wayne Symons Auto Sales donated all proceeds to Fare Share Food Bank after two days of changing winter tires to summer times.

“I’d like to thank my staff for volunteering their time in this worthwhile cause and obviously I’d like to thank all the people who helped make it such a success,” said Symons.

In the end, $2,500 was raised and given to interim Executive Director Katherine Fledderus from the Food Bank by owner Wayne Symons.

“We’ll always do our best but it’s all dependent on the community,” said Fledderus who was extremely appreciative of the donation.

Some people donated $100 and there was also a cheque for $500.

“Every single dime that is given to our organization goes directly to helping feed our neighbours.”
