Cobourg Police – Provincial Back To School Blitz Results

In Police Blotter

The Cobourg Police Service participated in the Back to School Traffic Safety Campaign throughout the month of September 2020. Officers were deployed to school zones throughout the Town of Cobourg to conduct high visibility, zero-tolerance enforcement to ensure a safe return to school for students and staff.

As a result of the campaign, 33 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act.
The Cobourg Police Service is determined to make our community roadways as safe as possible, through enforcement and education. As the school year continues, please practice safe driving.
Please pay attention to kids crossing the streets on their way to or from school, and slow down in school zones. Plan ahead and give extra time to get where you are going.
