Breaking News – Several People Taken Into Custody In Downtown Cobourg

Several people were taken into custody in downtown Cobourg on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 by members of the Cobourg and Port Hope Police Service.

Several tips came in to Today’s Northumberland stating there were several people in custody in front of Victoria Hall by Third Street at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Plain clothes officers had at least three people in handcuffs at the time Today’s Northumberland arrived on scene.

Approximately 45-minutes after, a warrant was executed at an address on Albert Street just west of Third Street.

At least one person was taken into custody from that scene.

Police stated to Today’s Northumberland they would be releasing information later concerning the arrests.
