Breaking News – Tentative – Fallen Soldier Will Be Flown Into Ottawa Airport

At this point there will be no repatriation for Bombardier Patrick Labrie, who was a member of the 2nd Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery based at 4th Canadian Division Support Base Petawawa, who died as a result of his injuries during parachute training as part of Exercise Swift Response 19.

The tragic accident occurred on June 17 around 10 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) in Cheshnegirovo, Bulgaria.

Today’s Northumberland reached out to Public Affairs at CFB Trenton who said at this point there are no plans for a repatriation. At this stage Public Affairs stated the fallen soldier will be flown into Ottawa.
