It was a beautiful summer evening in Peterborough as Canadian rock and blues icon Sass Jordan took to the stage at Peterborough Musicfest on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, delivering a high-energy performance that captivated the waterfront crowd at Del Crary Park.
Making her third appearance at the long-running festival, Jordan hit the stage at 8 p.m., treating fans to many of the songs that have made her one of Canada’s most recognizable rock vocalists.
The evening opened with Peterborough artist Lotsy (Sarah Jayne Riley), who performed at 6:30 p.m. as part of the Future Sound Series.
Best known for hits including Tell Somebody, Double Trouble, Sun’s Gonna Rise, and the last song of the evening So Hard, Jordan showcased the powerful voice and commanding stage presence that have defined her career. At 63, she proved she has lost none of the energy, charisma or passion that have made her a Canadian rock favourite for decades, connecting effortlessly with the audience throughout the night.
The concert was one of the marquee performances of the 2026 Peterborough Musicfest season, continuing the festival’s tradition of bringing outstanding Canadian talent to the Del Crary Park waterfront stage each summer.
It was one of those perfect summer nights where the music, the weather and the crowd all came together.
