Video – Photo Gallery – Busy Weekend at Cobourg’s Waterfront

June 28, 2026 Cobourgs Waterfront

It was a busy weekend along Cobourg’s waterfront as thousands of visitors enjoyed the warm weather, Victoria Beach, and the opening weekend of the annual Waterfront Festival.

From the beach to Victoria Park, there was no shortage of activities. Live entertainment filled the bandshell throughout the weekend, with Madman’s Window performing for spectators on Sunday afternoon.

The Rotary Club Craft Tents and Lions Club Arts & Crafts Tents appeared to be quieter than in previous years. While attendance at the vendor areas may have been lighter, it allowed exhibitors more time to chat with visitors and showcase their products.

At the east pier, swimmers from across Ontario—including visitors from Durham Region and even Canada’s East Coast—took advantage of the hot weather with a refreshing dip in Lake Ontario.

Throughout the weekend, Cobourg Police officers and Special Constables maintained a visible presence along the waterfront. Officers issued a number of tickets for alcohol-related offences and monitored compliance with municipal by-laws, including enforcing restrictions on dogs at Victoria Beach.

Despite the enforcement activity, the weekend atmosphere remained lively as residents and tourists alike took advantage of one of the busiest weekends of the summer at Cobourg’s waterfront.
